Exterior design is the soul of a yacht. At Fantastic Vacation, we believe every yacht deserves a unique visual identity—from the cutting angle of the bow, to the proportional rhythm of the superstructure, to the sequencing of porthole lines. We collaborate deeply with the world's leading naval architecture and design studios, transforming the owner's aesthetic vision into executable engineering artistry.
Our exterior design team brings together senior naval architects and industrial designers from Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany, with an average of over 25 years of industry experience. Team members have led the overall exterior design of numerous superyachts over 70 meters, winning prestigious international awards including the World Superyacht Awards and International Yacht & Aviation Awards.
We draw inspiration from marine biomorphology, aerodynamics, and modern architecture, balancing "form follows function" with "emotion transcends function." Every hull line, every porthole position, every deck height proportion undergoes at least three rounds of digital CFD simulation and scale model validation.
CFD-optimized hull resistance minimization for cruising speed ranges. Covers displacement, semi-displacement, and planing hull forms. RANSE solvers for free surface capture, validated against model basin testing. Typical results: hull resistance reduced by 12-18% at 18 knots cruise, fuel efficiency improved by over 15%.
Golden ratio (1:1.618) and rule-of-thirds applied for visual layering. Optimized from side, front, and rear projections. Focus areas: deck-to-deck height relationships, porthole band rhythm, rake angle, radar mast massing. Each design round delivers 8+ multi-angle renderings for holistic proportion review.
200+ hull color options: classic white, metallic silver, deep blue, matte black, champagne gold. Awlgrip or Alexseal premium marine coatings, with matte, semi-gloss, and high-gloss finishes. Each scheme includes color swatches, 3D real-time preview, and visual analysis under different lighting conditions (sunset, midday, nighttime harbor).
Custom functional zoning based on owner usage scenarios: main deck, upper deck, flybridge, sun deck circulation and function planning. Considerations include social flow, service corridor separation, sight lines, privacy screening, solar trajectory simulation, and wind comfort assessment. Typical features: bow sunbathing area, stern beach club, flybridge jacuzzi & bar, helipad.

"We are not furnishing a space; we are weaving a sensory narrative—from the first scent upon entering the salon to the warmth of a handrail under your fingertips."
The essence of yacht interior design lies in distilling the finest elements of land-based luxury into the rhythm of maritime space. Fantastic Vacation's interior design team comprises interior architects and soft furnishing consultants from Milan, Paris, London, and Tokyo, with extensive experience in ultra-luxury residences, boutique hotels, and private jet interiors.
We firmly believe that true luxury is not the accumulation of materials, but the power of spatial storytelling. Every zone—from the main deck salon to the owner's suite, from the formal dining room to the beach club—should tell a complete narrative arc. The selection of materials, the choreography of light and shadow, the rhythm of color, and the layering of tactile sensations together compose an "inhabitable symphony."
Our design methodology fuses human-centered experiential design with vessel-centered engineering constraints. Within the unique context of a yacht, we consider not only beauty and comfort but also weight budgets, fire ratings (IMO FTP Code), salt-spray corrosion resistance, and vibration isolation. Our interior proposals average 6–8 rounds of iteration, each complete with material samples, 3D visualization walkthroughs, and acoustic and lighting simulations.

"Truly exceptional engineering systems should go unnoticed. They should function as naturally as breathing, making every moment aboard effortless and assured."
Functional systems are the "viscera" of a yacht—they determine whether a vessel remains comfortable in extreme sea conditions, reliable on ocean passages, and autonomous while at anchor. Fantastic Vacation's systems engineering team comprises naval engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, HVAC specialists, and certified maritime surveyors, with core members holding RINA, Lloyd's Register, or DNV certifications.
We follow the "IODS" engineering philosophy—Integrated, Optimized, Dual-redundant, Silent—ensuring every pipe, every valve, and every control panel serves one core purpose: that the vessel's life-support and comfort systems operate as naturally as breathing under all conditions. Our system integration covers over 58 subsystems, each undergoing comprehensive Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) during design, ensuring no single point of failure in critical systems can compromise vessel safety.
Stabilization: Zero-speed fin stabilizers reduce roll by 70–85% at anchor. Underway, active fin stabilizers paired with gyroscopic stabilizers (e.g., Seakeeper 35+) maintain roll within ±3° in Sea State 6. System response—detection to corrective action—under 50 milliseconds.
Propulsion: Custom power solutions tailored to hull type and cruising requirements. Options include MTU 4000/2000 series (IMO Tier III compliant), Caterpillar C32/C175, hybrid diesel-electric propulsion, and Azipod azimuth thrusters. Typical configuration: twin engines, 1,500–5,000 kW per engine, top speeds 18–28 knots, economical cruise at 12–16 knots, range 4,000–6,000 nautical miles.
Dynamic Positioning: DP1/DP2 class positioning system. In sensitive environments where anchoring is prohibited (coral reefs), GPS + sonar + anemometer + gyrocompass multi-sensor fusion achieves ±1 meter positioning accuracy without dropping anchor.
Main Generation: 2–3 diesel generator sets (Kohler, Northern Lights), rated 1,200–4,800 kW total, N+1 redundancy. Automatic Power Management System (PMS) starts/stops generators based on real-time load demand, optimizing fuel consumption.
Shore Power: Globally compatible system supporting 110V–690V, 50/60Hz automatic detection and conversion. Isolation transformer (prevents galvanic corrosion), automatic phase correction, surge protection, power quality monitoring. Safely connect in any port worldwide—from Monaco's megayacht harbor to remote Southeast Asian island docks.
Battery Storage: Lithium battery bank (200–600 kWh) enabling zero-emission silent anchoring. In protected areas or nighttime quiet hours, operate AC, lighting, and entertainment on batteries alone for 8–12 hours, with noise levels below 35 dB(A).
Zonal Climate Control: Minimum 12 independent temperature zones (salon, dining, each guest cabin, crew area, galley, engine room), each with independent control (±0.5°C). Chiller + fan coil architecture, total cooling capacity designed for maximum 50°C ambient (Middle East/Red Sea conditions). All vents noise-optimized, cabin air outlets ≤30 dB(A).
Fresh Air & Purification: 100% fresh air system (no recirculation), with HEPA H13 filtration + activated carbon deodorization + UV-C germicidal irradiation. Fresh air supply ≥50m³/hour per person. Real-time formaldehyde, TVOC, and PM2.5 monitoring. Optional: cigar room/wine cellar independent negative pressure exhaust.
Humidity Control: Vessel-wide constant humidity system maintaining 45–55% RH (protecting timber, artwork, piano, wine cellar). Dual-mode ultrasonic humidification and desiccant dehumidification, especially critical in tropical waters.
Reverse Osmosis Watermakers: 2 seawater RO units (e.g., Sea Recovery), producing 20,000–40,000 liters of fresh water daily. Sufficient for all requirements of 30 persons (including crew)—drinking, bathing, pool replenishment, deck washing—without needing port resupply.
Wastewater Treatment: Meeting the strictest MARPOL Annex IV standards. Membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment produces discharge quality at potable-water standards (TSS ≤10mg/L, BOD5 ≤5mg/L, coliform non-detectable), legal for discharge in any marine protected area.
Grey/Black Water Separation: Independent piping, oily water processed through 15ppm separator. All holding tanks feature level monitoring and automatic alarm systems.
